Grind Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate Is Here

Our Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate is your new all-in-one coffee solution. Here's why it's a game-changer for at-home iced coffees and how to use it.

But... What Is Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate?

That seems like a good question before we ask you to get all excited about our new cold brew coffee concentrates.

Cold brew coffee concentrate is a highly concentrated form of cold-brewed coffee that's made by steeping coffee grounds in cold water over an extended period of time.

A concentrate is made to be diluted, so one of our 500ml cold brew concentrate cartons gives you 1 litre of smooth cold brew coffee (that’s up to 8 servings) when you mix it 1:1 with water or milk.

It can be enjoyed hot or cold, meaning you can make all of your favourite coffee drinks in seconds. It has the convenience of instant coffee, but it’s quicker, smoother, and much, much tastier.

That's especially true when it comes to Grind's cold brew concentrate, because ours is made using 100% speciality-grade Arabica beans, which we brew for hours so you can make incredible iced coffees in seconds.

We've made a classic Black Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate and a Caramel Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate, both carefully crafted for cold consumption. All you have to do is combine it with milk for a creamy iced latte or water for a smooth iced americano. Maximum taste, minimum waste.

What's the Difference between Cold Brew and Iced Coffee?

"Iced coffee" generally refers to traditional hot-brewed coffee that is chilled by being poured over ice. The issue with this method is that the sudden change in temperature can give your coffee a bitter and acidic taste.

The beauty of cold-brewing is that it uses time instead of heat, letting the coffee grounds steep in cold water for hours, to gently extract all of the flavours and aromas from the coffee, with absolutely none of the bitterness or acidity.

You'll notice that the texture of cold brew coffee is silky smooth and the flavour profile much more rich and complex than regular iced coffee.

What's So Special about Cold-Brewing?

We love cold brewed coffee for its silky smooth texture, rich flavours, and low acidity.

Cold brewing extracts coffee compounds differently than hot brewing, resulting in a smoother, less bitter, and less astringent flavour profile. It also lowers the acidity of the brew, so it's easier on the stomach.

The longer extraction time means that we can get all the incredible and complex tasting notes from our speciality-grade coffee. The result is a coffee that's sweeter and more mellow, so there’s less need to balance it out with milk or sugary sweeteners: for our Caramel Cold Brew Concentrate we don’t use any milk or sugar, just a bit of natural flavouring to enhance the natural sweetness of the coffee itself.

How Do I Use Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate?

Our cold brew coffee concentrates are espresso-strength and they must be diluted. PLEASE DO NOT DRINK IT ON ITS OWN. That would be like downing 8 double espressos in one go, which we really would not advise.

Grind cold brew coffee concentrate is ready to mix 1:1 with water or milk (or both): just add 62ml concentrate and 62ml water/milk to a glass of ice and give it a good stir. You can add more water or milk depending on your taste preferences, and you'll have a smooth, café-worthy iced coffee that's ready in seconds. It's quick, versatile, and mess-free.

You can enjoy our cold brew concentrate hot by adding hot water or hot milk, or diluting it with the same 1:1 ratio and heating the mixture up in the microwave or on the hob.

One 500ml carton of Grind Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate makes up to 8 double shot servings.

How to Make an Iced Latte Using Cold Brew Concentrate

  1. Fill a glass with ice.
  2. Add 62ml Grind Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate.
  3. Add 62ml cold milk or plant-based alternative and stir.
  4. For a longer drink, add a little cold water and more cold milk to taste.
  5. Customise it with your favourite sweetener or syrups. No judgement here.
