What you'll need

-
STEP 1
Pre-wet your filter paper and discard of the water. Measure out 16g of ground coffee and place it into the brewer. If you don't have a weighing scale, this equates to approximately 1 flat scoop using the Aeropress measuring spoon.
-
STEP 2
Bloom the coffee by pouring a small amount of water (approx 30-50g, or up to the number '3' on the Aeropress) over the grounds. Start your timer as soon as the water hits the coffee. Stir your coffee with a spoon.
-
STEP 3
Pour the remaining water into the brewer until it reaches 250g, or until the water level reaches just below the rim of the Aeropress.
-
STEP 4
After about 1 minute 45 seconds, give the coffee another stir and attach the filter to the brewer.
-
STEP 5
'Plunge' the Aeropress and extract the coffee into your chosen cup.
