Our Head of Coffee (and the face you see all over our Instagram feed), Howey, and the team at our London roastery, work closely with coffee growers to build long-term collaborative relationships that benefit us, you, the farmers, and the land.
All of the producers we partner with farm sustainably, ensuring resource efficiency and supporting biodiversity, because these practices don't just lower their carbon footprint, but ensure the longevity and resilience of the farms as well as the quality of the coffee itself."Grind coffee pods are made from plants, so unlike plastic and aluminium pods that take centuries to break down, our pods don't stick around; they're home-compostable and will break down faster than a banana peel.
Our pods don't allow oxygen through like other plant-based pods. Instead, an oxygen barrier keeps your coffee fresh for months—without losing its flavour or quality.
This year's advent calendar was designed by Jacqueline Colley, an illustrator and pattern designer who has worked with Hermès, Mr Jones, Milton & King, and more. Her custom illustration was inspired by our coffee roastery in Bermondsey, but sadly we don't really have reindeer and cats in there. We're told that that would be against health and safety regulations.
Please note that our Whole Bean & Ground Advent Calendars are currently available for pre-order only. To make sure the coffee is fresh and at its best, we'll ship your advent calendar in November. You'll receive an email confirmation as soon as it's on its way.
