From London to the World

Since launching on board in Summer 2024, our friends at British Airways have already served a lot of cups of Grind coffee to passengers on short-haul flights across Europe.

Now, we’re delighted to expand our partnership with British Airways as their premium coffee partner. Our speciality coffee will be served across premium cabins on both long and short-haul flights and in British Airways’ UK lounges, too, with global lounges to follow.

A bespoke blend crafted for cruising altitude exclusively for British Airways

Coffee tastes different in the air. Cabin pressure softens sweetness and shifts flavour perception, so we developed blends specifically for sipping at 38,000 feet for Club World and Club Europe passengers. In collaboration with British Airways, we sent our Head of Coffee Howey into the air to do several in-flight coffee tastings, ensuring that our coffee range stays smooth and balanced at altitude. 

As our Head of Coffee, Howey, explains: "The general rule is the higher the beans are grown, the sweeter and more complex they taste. What’s unique about our partnership with British Airways is that altitude matters twice: first when they are grown at origin, and then again when they are served at 38,000ft. Serving coffee in the air changes how flavours come through, so we worked hard to ensure that every cup is unmistakably Grind, even at cruising altitude.

What you'll be drinking and where:

Short-haul Flights: Long Black. Decaf Black. Flat White. Plus our Iced Caramel Latte can if you prefer it chilled.

Long-haul Flights: In Club World, passengers can enjoy a bespoke Grind House Blend or Decaf Blend, both roasted to be smooth, chocolatey, and rich. In First, customers can enjoy their favourite espresso-based coffee, like a latte or cappuccino, made to their liking using Grind House Blend or Decaf Blend pods and capsules. 

British Airways' UK Lounges: The same speciality-grade beans we serve in our Grind coffee shops. Because good coffee shouldn’t stop at security.
