Happy St. Patrick's Day, we're making an Irish Espresso Martini

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

There has always been a long tradition of enjoying coffee and alcohol together in Ireland, as the birthplace of the the world famous Irish coffee it will come to no surprise that we're taking our own twist on this classic with an Irish Espresso Martini for St. Patrick's Day. Of course, we'd much rather be open and serving you from our bars and restaurants (welp!) which will be reopening for outdoor dining on April the 12th.

Irish Espresso Martini: Home-style

  • 100ml Grind House Espresso (or 4x pods using espresso for strength)
  • 50ml Bailey's Irish Cream
  • 25ml Absolut Vodka
  • Whipped Cream
  • Ice
  • Sugar
  • An air-tight container to shake the cocktail
  • Glassware, of your choice
  • Strainer if available
  • Jigger (or egg cup/shot glass)
What to do:
  1. Brew your coffee, and add a teaspoon of sugar whilst hot to dissolve.
  2. Build the cocktail in your container or cocktail shaker. (Tip: look suave by adding ingredients cheapest to most expensive - start with the ice)
  3. Once all of the ingredients are added, shake for at least 10 seconds until the container or shaker is cold to touch or beginning to frost.
  4. Strain into your favourite glass, make sure none of the ice escapes into your final cocktail.
  5. Add whipped cream - as much, or as little as you'd like!
  6. Sprinkle a few coffee beans to garnish.
  7. Drink, and repeat.
