"I f****** love this place"

— Sam Smith

Founded in Shoreditch in 2011

Grind has since opened espresso bars, cocktail bars, restaurants and recording studios across London.

We'll see you at the Grind.

The Grind & Co.
House Espresso Blend

The Grind House Espresso blend is roasted daily, in small batches, and delivered to each site every few days where it matures until perfectly ready to drink.

It all began with coffee, and coffee remains our primary focus. We obsess over every detail of our coffee, so that you don't have to. We use only the best equipment, and by the time your barista pulls the shot for your coffee, or your Espresso Martini, they've already been through months of training.

We serve great food every day across London. From 7am each morning, we keep the city moving with a fast, fresh, all-day offering. By night, menus of traditional Italian aperitivo provide a light accompaniment to an after-work cocktail.

Opening London Grind in 2015, right next to Borough Market, the restaurant there has a fantastic source of fresh vegetables, meat and fish right on its doorstep. Open every day, London Grind is one of the busiest restaurant destinations south of the river.

We always use fresh, seasonal ingredients, and source from local suppliers wherever possible.

As it turns out, great espresso also makes an incredible Espresso Martini. Luckily, we already had that, so to make ours we just add Reyka Vodka and a little sugar syrup. When you start with killer espresso, you don't need to mess around it with.

The Evening Standard and many others regularly namecheck our Espresso Martini as the best in London.

Our Music

We built the Grind Studio in 2012 as a base for Co-Founder Kaz James' music, and later friends of the Grind. Sam Smith, FKA Twigs, Pixie Lott, Tinie Tempah, Hurts and many others have all dropped by since to write, record and master their work in our fully catered, international grade studio above Shoreditch Grind.
